Ukraine counts on support of UN, Turkey to extend grain initiative for 120 days instead of 60 proposed by Russia – Kubrakov
KYIV. March 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The agreement on the grain initiative, supported by the guarantors Turkey and the UN, provides for an extension of 120 days, the proposal of the Russian Federation to reduce the period to 60 days contradicts the signed document, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov wrote on Twitter.
“Black Sea Grain Initiative agreement involves at least 120 days of extension, therefore Russia’s position to extend the deal only for 60 days contradicts the document signed by Turkey & the UN. We’re waiting for the official position of UN & Turkey as the guarantors of the initiative,” the deputy minister noted.
