State budget receipts plan met by 108.7% in Aug – treasury
KYIV. Sept 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Receipts of the state budget of Ukraine in August 2021 amounted to UAH 142 billion, which is 8.7% higher than the target and 41.7% more than August 2020, according to the data of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine.
According to the data released by the service on Wednesday, receipts of the general fund of the state budget in August totaled UAH 118.5 billion, which is 2% higher than the plan and 38.8% higher than the August 2020 indicator.
As for the indicators of budget receipts in January-August, they were met by 106.3% and were 19.5% higher than last year’s level for the specified period.
In general, in the eight months ending August 2021, the state budget received UAH 838 billion, including UAH 700 billion to the general fund, which is 4.1% higher than the plan and 17.8% higher than the figures recorded in January-August 2020.
As indicated by the Treasury, customs in August this year brought UAH 36.4 billion, which is 0.4% higher than the expected figure and 35.5% higher than the same month in 2020. In January-August this year, customs receipts amounted to UAH 244 billion, which is 3.5% higher than the plan of the Ministry of Finance and 37.5% more than the indicator of January-August of last year.
Tax receipts in August brought UAH 79.4 billion to the budget, this amount is 3.1% higher than the planned level and 41% higher than last year.
In January-August 2021, tax receipts brought almost UAH 409.9 billion to the budget and were 5.4% higher than the expected figure and 15.2% higher than in January-August 2020, the data of the State Statistics Committee show.
According to the State Treasury, the value added tax (VAT) refund last month slightly decreased to UAH 10.78 billion compared to UAH 11.15 billion in July and almost UAH 12 billion in June.
Local budget receipts in January-August of this year were 6.9% higher than the expected level of UAH 226.7 billion, which is 20.4% higher than in January-August of 2020. In August, local budgets received UAH 34.4 billion, which is 29.7% higher than the plan and 20.2% more than last year’s level.
Proceeds from single social security contribution in August amounted to UAH 27 billion, which is 19.6% more than in August 2020.
As reported, the state budget receipts in 2021 are set at UAH 1.084 trillion, including UAH 959.854 billion in the general fund, expenses are projected at UAH 1.32 trillion and UAH 1.183 trillion, respectively.
