KYIV. March 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During his trip to China next week, French President Emmanuel Macron will urge Beijing not to support Russia in its aggression against Ukraine, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna has said on Thursday.
“We will remind you how important it is to refrain from any actions that may allow Russia to continue its actions [in Ukraine],” Colonna said at a press conference in Vilnius, answering a question about Macron’s visit to China. The minister’s statements are quoted by the French media.
Earlier it was reported that Macron will visit China on April 5 to April 8. The Elysee Palace said French President Macron and Chinese President Xi Jinping will discuss Ukrainian topics “in the context of a return to peace” during the talks.
