Zelenskyy, Duda take part in Ukrainian-Polish business forum

KYIV. April 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda took part in the Ukrainian-Polish business forum aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties, the press service of the Ukrainian Head of State has reported.

The President of Ukraine, when speaking to the participants of the event, said that after the victory in the war, Ukraine and Poland “have a great future in the development of the economy.”

“In the morning, on the way to Warsaw, we saw many trucks driving towards Ukraine. And it looks very optimistic when business works with the country, when business believes in Ukraine, and when business expands its presence. It is the most obvious confirmation that the country has a future. I thank you very much, Poland, for believing in the future of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said.

He thanked the entire Polish business, every company and entrepreneur for working with Ukraine and in Ukraine.

“I am grateful for every operating production facility, for every job that creates prosperity for Ukrainians and Poles, I am sure, mutually! And despite any threats, and any circumstances of the time of Russian aggression, various Polish companies continue working in Ukraine. And I want to thank and applaud everyone who believes in our state, believes not only in our future, but also in our present,” the President of Ukraine said.

Separately, Zelenskyy thanked the companies that operate in the eastern regions of Ukraine and especially often face the terror of the aggressor country, and those companies that, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, have provided materials and medicines to Ukrainian medical institutions and also helped to provide for Ukrainian children in Poland and internally displaced persons across Ukraine.

“I am sure that we will maintain all the economic and humanitarian mobilization of our relations even when a very important and ambitious project of Ukrainian recovery is launched in full force. We are already working together on recovery, but it is obvious it is only the initial stage,” Zelensky said.

In addition, the head of the Ukrainian state expressed confidence that “our [Ukrainian-Polish] economic, energy, social, humanitarian, and cultural potential in the Baltic-Black Sea space… will give a decade of growth for our peoples, for all of Europe and for each of our partners.”

Duda said that, despite the war, the Ukrainian-Polish economic forum is being held because “we are looking not only at what is happening at this moment in Ukraine but also at what will happen in the future.”

“Because we deeply believe in Ukraine’s victory,” the head of the Polish state said.

Duda is convinced that “after the end of the war, Ukraine will be restored by joint efforts, it will become a more modern country, ready for dynamic development, using its potential.”
