Yermak, Zaluzhny have phone call with Jake Sullivan, General Milley
KYIV. March 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny had a phone conversation with National Security Adviser to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley, the presidential press service said.
“Andriy Yermak and Valeriy Zaluzhny spoke about the operational situation at the front and possible actions of the enemy. The parties also focused on the defense of Bakhmut and the measures taken to ensure the stability of the defense forces’ positions in Donetsk area,” the President’s Office said on the website.
The President’s Office head noted the importance of continuing to provide Ukraine with the necessary military and financial support.
In addition, Yermak thanked to the American people, the administration of President Joe Biden and the U.S. Congress “for the reliable strategic partnership and support of Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty, de-occupation of all Ukrainian lands and compliance with international law and the UN Charter.”
