Yeliseyev recalls Russia was recognized as occupier country by UNGA resolution
KYIV. Aug 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Former Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, ex-Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the EU Kostiantyn Yeliseyev notes that the Russian Federation was first recognized as an occupying state in a resolution of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) back in 2016.
"Zelensky’s statement that in the declaration of the Crimea Platform Russia for the first time at the international level was recognized as an occupying state is an outright lie! This was clearly stated in the UN General Assembly resolution adopted on December 19, 2016 at the 71st session of the General Assembly," Yeliseyev wrote on Twitter on Monday.
