Ukrgazvydobuvannia launches well with daily flow rate of 140,000 cubic meters of gas in Kharkiv region
KYIV. Oct 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia launched a well in Kharkiv region with a flow rate of over 140,000 cubic meters of gas per day, the press service of the company said on Friday.
According to it, it was possible to achieve such high productivity due to the high-quality implementation of three stages of hydraulic fracturing, which made it possible to fully unlock the potential of gas-bearing horizons.
"This technologically complex operation was carried out for the first time by our own service division. While most international service companies were unable to continue their work in Ukraine due to the war, our colleagues are developing their skills and competencies. Thanks to high-quality and well-coordinated work, the new well gave a good result, and this is another contribution to providing the country with its own, Ukrainian gas," said the director of the Exploration and Production division of Naftogaz Group, Oleh Tolmachev.
The new well provided valuable geological information about the structure of one of the sections of the field, as well as additional data for building a 3D model of the field.
NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy owns 100% of the shares of Ukrgazvydobuvannia.
