Ukrainian FM urges UK to deny visas to Russian, Belarusian players allowed by Wimbledon to participate in tournament
KYIV. March 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called Wimbledon’s decision to allow Russian and Belarusian players to participate in the tournament immoral and called on the British government to deny them visas.
“Wimbledon’s decision to permit the participation of Russian and Belarusian players is immoral. Has Russia ceased its aggression or atrocities? No, it’s just that Wimbledon decided to accommodate two accomplices in crime. I call on the UK government to deny visas to their players,” he said on Twitter on Friday.
