Ukrainian FM predicts difficulties with grain initiative with each of its next extensions

MUNICH. Feb 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine is raising the issue of Russian sabotage of the Black Sea Grain Initiative at the Munich Security Conference, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told Interfax-Ukraine on Saturday.

“This question will be raised regularly – every time the memorandum expires. There was also a discussion last time,” he said on the sidelines of the Ukrainian Lunch organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and YES at the Munich Security Conference.

“Without Russia, there is (an option) – when there is no Russia, then you will have an option without Russia,” he added, answering a question about the possibility of finding an alternative option so as not to depend on Russia.

As reported, on July 22, 2022, in Istanbul, with the participation of the UN, Ukraine, Turkey and the Russian Federation, two documents were signed – the Black Sea Grain Initiative – valid for 120 days to create a corridor for the export of grain from three Ukrainian ports – Chornomorsk, Odesa and Pivdenny.
