Ukraine’s position taken into account in written USA’s response to Russia’s ultimatums – Kuleba
KYIV. Jan 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine’s position is taken into account in the written response of the United States to the ultimatums of the Russian Federation and does not give rise to objections, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said.
“It [Ukraine’s position] has been taken into account, and the proposals that the United States will send to Russia in part of Ukraine do not cause our objections,” Kuleba said at an online briefing on Wednesday.
The minister noted that Ukraine continues close coordination with allies and partners both in the context of consolidated counteraction to Russian aggression, and in the light of the preparation of USA and NATO responses to Russian ultimatums.
“We know perfectly well what our partners will tell the Russian Federation, we know all this and it is all coordinated with us,” Kuleba stressed.
He noted that last Friday he had a telephone conversation with the U.S. Secretary of State after his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“Antony Blinken noted that Washington would be ready to provide a written response to Moscow this week, after which he does not rule out another contact with the Russian side to continue the discussion,” the Foreign Minister said.
