Ukraine requests India's assistance in restoring energy infrastructure – media
KYIV. April 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova will visit Delhi next week, where, among other things, she will discuss the provision of additional humanitarian assistance, The Hindu reports, citing diplomatic sources.
“Ukraine has requested India for more humanitarian aid, including pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and energy equipment, to repair power infrastructure damaged during the war, and both sides are also expected to discuss the delivery of such support,” the message reads.
It is also expected that Dzhaparova will convey to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi an invitation to visit Kyiv.
“Diplomatic sources said that the final arrangements are still being discussed, but confirmed that Emine Dzhaparova, the First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, is expected to arrive in Delhi on Monday and hold an inter-ministerial dialogue as well as engage with media and think tanks in the Capital, with a view to building support for Ukraine in India,” the ezine says.
