Ukraine records over 2,000 new COVID-19 cases per day, 1,025 people recovered, 54 died – ministry
KYIV. Aug 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As of Saturday morning, some 2,082 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were recorded in Ukraine, some 1,025 people recovered, some 54 people died, the press service of the Health Ministry of Ukraine said.
"For the day on August 27, 2021, some 2,082 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease were recorded in Ukraine (of which 108 children and 35 medical workers). Over the past day: 708 people hospitalized; some 54 people died and 1,025 people recovered," the ministry said on its on Telegram channel.
In total, during the period of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2.282 million people fell ill, some 2.206 million people recovered, and some 53,686 people died.
Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in the city of Kyiv (266), Lviv (189), Kharkiv (187) and Donetsk (157) regions.
