Textile-Contact sewing factories do not reduce output in 2022
KYIV. Jan 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During the war, the textile enterprises of the Textile-Contact (TK) group of companies either managed to maintain their output at the level of last year or increase their production, the company’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
"TK Group has sewing facilities in Chernihiv, Korosten and Lubny, which are actively working despite the war," the press service noted.
In particular, TK-Korosten garment factory, which specializes in tailoring overalls and uniforms for Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, has been producing about 4,000 items per month since January 2022, as in the same months last year.
"The production has orders from state institutions, ministries and departments (the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the State Border Guard Service, territorial defense units, and the National Guard of Ukraine)," the company notes.
At the same time, during the war, the staff of the factory increased by 10%.
The press service noted that despite the difficulties due to the shelling of Chernihiv in the first months of the war, TK-Style garment factory was able to resume full operation, and the expected output in 2022 is 94,000 garments, as in the year previously.
At the same time, the factory, working on raw materials supplied by the customer and producing men’s and women’s clothing, continues to cooperate with foreign customers.
"A lot of efforts have been made to convince our partners to stay with us and attract new ones to cooperation, to assure them that despite the war we want and can work. The company managed not only to maintain cooperation with regular customers, but also to start working with new ones," noted the company.
Among the customers of TK-Style factory in 2021 were Kate Spade, Wattana, De Fursac, Comma, and the list of customers in 2022 includes Isabel Marant, Faconnable, Lufthansa.
