Summit on Ukrainian ‘formula of peace’ may take place on Feb 24 at UN – diplomat
KYIV. Jan 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar has said that the summit on the “formula of peace”, which Ukraine proposed to hold with the mediation of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, is planned.
“I am grateful to Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who officially stated that Turkey supports the peace plan proposed by Ukraine and is ready to participate in its implementation,” Bodnar said in an interview with Turkish Anadolu.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informed Interfax-Ukraine that the issue of the summit is being worked out.
“This issue is being worked out now, after which we will inform you about the details,” said spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the Ukrainian government expects to hold a summit on the "formula for peace" by the end of February, preferably at the UN with Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as a possible mediator.
