Steinmeier wants to visit Ukraine ASAP – Swiss President
KYIV. Oct 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier wants to visit Ukraine as soon as possible, President of Switzerland Ignazio Cassis has said.
Steinmeier wants to visit Ukraine very much and even though he did not come today, he will come next week or in a month for sure, Cassis said at a press conference following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Thursday.
The Swiss President also said that earlier they planned to make a joint visit with his German counterpart, however, the relevant German services recommended Steinmeier to refrain from the trip for the time being.
