Six vessels with food left ports of Big Odesa over weekend, 109 vessels in line for inspection in the Bosphorus

KYIV. Jan 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the weekend, six vessels with 153,000 tonnes of foodstuffs for Africa, Asia and Europe left the ports of Big Odesa, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported on Monday.

"Including the bulk carrier Dynamic M with 27,500 tonnes of foodstuffs for Libya," the ministry said on Facebook.

A total of 21 vessels with 800,000 tonnes of Ukrainian foodstuffs are being loaded in the ports of Big Odesa. One vessel is sent to Ukrainian ports along the grain corridor.

"In the Bosphorus, the line of ships waiting for inspection is growing. As of January 15, there are 109 vessels in the queue, 22 of them are loaded with foodstuffs. The Russian delegation continues to slow down the inspection and refuses to work after 15:30. Of the 81 ships declared for participation in the Initiative, they registered only two," the Ukrainian ministry said.

On January 13, the Ministry of Infrastructure said that 104 vessels were waiting for the inspection of the Joint Coordination Centre in the Bosphorus, while on January 10 there were 98 of them, and on December 26 there were 95.

It is recalled that since August 1, 2022, 653 vessels left the ports of Big Odesa, exporting 17.5 million tonnes of Ukrainian food to the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa.
