School shooting incident in Russia: 15 people, incl. 11 children, dead in Izhevsk
KYIV. Sept 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The death toll from Monday’s shooting incident in a school in the Russian city of Izhevsk has reached 15, including 11 children, the Russian Investigative Committee said on Telegram on Monday.
"Russian Investigative Committee Investigators have estimated the number of casualties as a result of this crime at 39. Fifteen of them, 11 children and four adults, are dead," the Investigative Committee said.
Twenty-four people, among them 22 children and two adults, were injured, it said.
According to reports in the Russian media, on Monday morning, Artyom Kazantsev, 34, opened fire in school No. 88 in Izhevsk. He came to the school and killed the security guard. Later, Kazantsev committed suicide.
