School head to be tried for treason: National Police complete investigation
KYIV. April 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – According to the materials of the National Police, a citizen who defected to the enemy during the temporary occupation of Berdiansk and headed one of the local schools will be tried, the National Police said.
“During the temporary occupation of the town of Berdiansk by Russian troops, the person involved immediately defected to the enemy and headed the educational institution No. 11,” the National Police said on the Telegram channel on Saturday.
As reported, police investigators established that the person involved lived in Mariupol and was the director of a secondary school. And after the temporary occupation of Berdiansk by Russian troops, she moved to the town and agreed to cooperate with the invaders. The woman became the director of one of the local schools, where she ensured the organization of the educational process according to the standards and curricula of the Russian Federation.
The sanction of the article provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
