SBI finds batches of Russian, Belarusian trucks, agricultural equipment worth at least UAH 12 mln at Odesa customs

KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) found two trucks loaded with spare parts for agricultural equipment owned by Russian and Belarusian entrepreneurs at the Odesa customs, the SBI has said on the Telegram channel on Friday.

The trucks arrived in Ukraine from Russia and Belarus before February 24, 2022 in the transit mode. The total cost of the trucks with the goods is at least UAH 12 million.

The property gas been seized. The issue of transferring funds from its sale for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being considered.

The investigation is underway. In particular, a legal assessment will be given to the actions of customs officials who did not take timely measures to deal with the trucks.
