Pokrov GOK in 2023 plans production at level of 2022
KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Pokrov Mining and Processing Plant (PGOK, formerly Ordzhonikidze GOK, Dnipropetrovsk region) has planned production for 2023 at the level of the previous year, Viktor Bondarets, the technical director of the enterprise, said.
According to him, at present, PGOK is idle and will remain in this state until approximately April 1: due to a shortage of electricity and a decrease in its capacity in the system of Ukraine, there is no possibility and plans to start working until April.
"It is precisely because of the shortage of electricity that we planned to start the work of the plant from April 1 – after the end of the heating season. Before that, if necessary, we will ship our products to consumers and prepare equipment for productive work in the spring. As for production plans for the coming year, then production is planned at the level of 2022 and even somewhat higher. We believe in the victory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we are introducing the same trends on the production front," the chief engineer said at a conference call.
At the same time, the plant at the meeting discussed the protection of production facilities, planning a technical development program for the second half of the year, as well as the purchase of the necessary inventory items to strengthen the equipment, which precedes the launch of processing and mining equipment from April 1.
PGOK is the largest producer of manganese ore in Ukraine, which is mining it in an open way.
