Pobuzhsky ferronickel plant operates at 50% capacity due to logistics problems during war
KYIV. Sept 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Pobuzhsky Ferronickel Plant LLC (PFP, Kirovohrad region), part of the Solway international investment group, is operating at half its capacity due to problems with logistics during the war.
"The plant is working, but, unfortunately, only at half the capacity due to big problems with logistics and blocking of ports," Interfax-Ukraine was told in response to a corresponding request.
At the same time, they specified that the company "does its best to fulfill its social obligations to employees and the community."
"Also, with the assistance of the investor, we are engaged in the purchase of medicines and the assembly of military first-aid kits for sending to the front. We try to be as useful as possible to society and the country," the company stressed.
Currently, PFP is fully integrated into the production process of Solway Investment Group. The total investment of the group in the plant amounted to more than $130 million.
The international investment group Solway started its activity in 2002. It is a private company with a diversified business in the mining and metallurgical industries. The key companies of the group are registered in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Estonia and Malta. Some 100% of the charter capital belongs to EU citizens. Solway’s main production assets are located in North Macedonia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Argentina and Ukraine.
