Over 318,000 applications about 22 mln sq. m. of damaged housing submitted via Diia – MP
KYIV. Jan 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainians have submitted more than 318,000 applications about damaged or destroyed housing via the Diia application, the total area of war-affected housing is 22 million square meters, Member of Parliament Olena Shuliak, who is the head of the Servant of the People Party, said.
She recalled that bill No. 7198 on compensation for damaged housing will soon be considered by the Ukrainian parliament at the second reading.
"As for facilities destroyed or damaged during the war: applications for compensation can be submitted already, or within a year after the lifting of martial law. I will add that the state will allocate its own or borrowed funds to people without waiting for reparations from Russia. Today, the fund, created for compensation, has got already UAH 13 billion confiscated from the Russian Sberbank," Shuliak said.
