Opposition CDU faction in Germany puts pressure on Scholz to provide tanks to Ukraine – media
KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The faction of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany continues to insist on the transfer of Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine, the Tagesschau said on Friday.
In particular, Deputy Chairman of the faction Johan Vadefull criticized German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
"Everyone wants it. Finland wants to help, Spain has been doing it for a long time. Poland has gone on the offensive, and the stubborn chancellor is in the way," Vadefull said.
From his point of view, the delivery of Leopard 2 tanks is only a matter of time. Vadefull insists on a more active policy: Germany must look ahead.
