Ministry of Reintegration determines list of goods restricted or prohibited for transportation across administrative border with Crimea
KYIV. Dec 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine has determined a list of goods restricted or prohibited for transportation across the administrative border with Crimea.
"On December 7, 2021, the order of the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine of November 23, 2021 No. 258 On the approval of the List and volumes (value/weight/quantity) of goods restricted or prohibited for movement across the administrative border, as well as goods that can be classified as personal belongings," the ministry’s press service said in a statement.
It is noted that the order is aimed at simplifying the process of crossing the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea for civilians as much as possible.
In addition, the order stipulates that the list of personal belongings permitted for movement across the administrative border with Crimea includes goods that have signs of consumption, as well as other goods that do not have signs of use, and are moved as personal items in carry-on luggage and accompanying baggage.
The order also establishes the following cost/weight/quantity restrictions when moving other goods that do not have signs of consumption: from the territories controlled by Ukraine to the temporarily occupied territory – without restrictions; from the temporarily occupied territory to the territories controlled by Ukraine – the total invoice value of which does not exceed the equivalent of UAH 10,000 or the total weight of which does not exceed 75 kilograms per person (provided that food products – no more than two kilograms of each item and non-food products – not more than two units of each item).
In addition, the order regulates the procedure for the transportation of cash by individuals across the administrative border.
So, an individual can move cash across the admin border in an amount not exceeding UAH 100,000, or an equivalent amount, including in foreign currency at a cross rate determined by the National Bank of Ukraine on the day of crossing the admin border. If the amount exceeds UAH 100,000, the person must provide a document confirming the origin of the funds.
