Interior Ministry: As of 13.00 on Monday, death toll of rocket attack in Dnipro increases to 40

KYIV. Jan 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As of 13:00 on Monday, the number of people killed as a result of rocket fire by occupiers of a multi-storey building in Dnipro has increased to 40 people, including three children, 46 missing persons reports have been received, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports.

"As of 13:00 on January 16, 39 people were rescued (six of them are children), 40 people were killed, three of them are children, 75 people were injured (14 of them are children), 46 missing persons reports were received," the ministry said on the Telegram channel on Monday.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, local authorities have organized temporary accommodation for 43 people who have applied for help.

"Sixteen tents have been deployed to heat and feed the victims, clothing and essential items have been provided, as well as the work of the governing bodies has been ensured," the report says.

In total, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 544 people and 75 pieces of equipment were involved in the work. About 130 volunteers and 15 representatives of the Red Cross Society are also working at the site.
