IDS Ukraine invests UAH 438 mln in launch of line of lemonades

KYIV. April 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine’s largest mineral water producer, IDS Ukraine Holding, has invested UAH 438 million in launching a line of lemonades based on Morshynska natural mineral water, the manufacturer’s press service reported.

According to the press release, the new drink will be produced under the name Lemonade. At the same time, it is noted that this is a completely new category for the manufacturer, since it traditionally worked in the mineral water segment, and more recently it has also started working with energy drinks (in January 2023, the company launched the Volya energy drink on the market and transferred its first batch to the Armed Forces of Ukraine).

“Introducing new products and moving forward, despite the war and economic instability, is a fundamental decision of the company. We managed to create a product without preservatives, artificial colors and flavors,” said Marko Tkachuk, CEO of IDS Ukraine, whose words are given in the message.

The company emphasized that the development of a new drink and its entry into the market is part of IDS Ukraine’s long-term business development strategy. The Lemonade will contain from 5% to 10% juice. The drink will be presented in several types of packaging: bottles of 1.5 liters and 0.5 liters and aluminum cans of 0.33 liters. It will appear on supermarket shelves from April 20.

IDS Ukraine is a Ukrainian group of companies founded in 1996, the largest national producer of bottled water. The holding includes the Morshyn mineral water plant Oskar, the Myrhorod mineral water plant, the distribution company IDS and the water delivery operator IDS Aqua Service.
