Govt appoints Havrylov Dpty Minister of Defense
KYIV. Jan 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Volodymyr Havrylov Deputy Minister of Defense.
According to representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk, the relevant decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday, January 26.
The Cabinet of Ministers, in particular, appointed Havrylov Deputy Minister of Defense, while at the same time dismissing Anatoliy Petrenko from the post of Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration.
As of December 2021, Major General Havrylov was Assistant Director General of Ukrspetsexport and worked as a Defense Attaché at the Ukrainian Embassy in the U.S. He is the head of the Veterans Dozen Charitable Foundation, which supports severely wounded combatants.
