Ghana, following Nigeria and Senegal, considering possibility of creating logistics hub for export of Ukrainian grain
KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ghana intends to implement new logistics projects that will increase and make more predictable the supply of agricultural exports from Ukraine, Nigeria and Senegal have previously announced such an intention.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on Friday, the deepening of cooperation in the field of agriculture and trade relations was discussed by Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Mykola Solsky and Minister of Food and Agriculture of the Republic of Ghana Owusu Afriyie Akoto.
It is clarified that the parties considered the creation of a joint project – a logistics hub for food storage, which will allow storing high-quality grain, contribute to the forecasting of sales and stabilization of world food prices.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy recalled that the Republic of Ghana is the third country visited by a delegation of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy as part of an official visit to African countries, each of which expressed a desire to create a logistics hub for the export of Ukrainian grain.
