Germany still waiting for official request from Poland for Leopard – media
KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The federal government has not yet received an official request from Poland to supply the Leopard main battle tank to Ukraine, German government spokeswoman Christiane Hoffmann said in a comment to Polish Polsat correspondent Tomasz Lejman.
"We are not saying ‘No’ to the transfer of the Leopards to Ukraine because we have not yet received an official request about this, a government spokeswoman told PolsatNewsPL. I asked about Berlin’s position on this issue," Lejman said on Twitter on Friday.
On January 11, Polish President Andrzej Duda promised Ukraine a company of Leopard tanks.
