FMs of Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova discusses development of intl logistics via GUAM countries
KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba took part in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM), where he discussed the development of international logistics through the countries of the organization.
"We have outlined concrete economic steps and projects that we will take to develop trade and international logistics through the GUAM countries. Secretary General Altai Efendiev noted that today was the most substantive meeting of GUAM ministers in recent years," the press service of the Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Wednesday evening quoting Kuleba as saying.
The parties discussed further political cooperation within the organization, sectoral cooperation between Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Azerbaijan in the spheres of economy, trade, transport, IT and innovation.
The meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the GUAM member states took place during the visit of the President of Ukraine and the Ukrainian delegation to New York to participate in the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.
