Finland may transfer small batch of Leopard tanks to Kyiv – president
HELSINKI. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Finland will hand over Leopard tanks to Ukraine under certain conditions, President of Finland Sauli Niinisto has said.
"If a joint European project to assist Ukraine is set up, Finland’s contribution will also be required," he told Finnish news agency STT on Thursday.
"However, the number of armored vehicles transferred cannot be large, since Finland borders with Russia and is not yet a NATO member state," he said.
