DTEK ready to provide equipment, repair teams to restore completely destroyed energy system of Kherson region – CEO
KYIV. Nov 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – DTEK energy Holding is ready to provide Khersonoblenergo with the necessary assistance to quickly restore power supply to Kherson and the liberated territories of the region, Dmytro Sakharuk, CEO of DTEK, has said.
"DTEK is ready to provide teams, equipment, materials to help resume energy supply to Kherson and the liberated territories of the region as soon as possible. To supply electricity as soon as possible, at least on schedule, but to provide at least a little relief from the severity of the situation," he said in a statement during Suspіlne.News on Friday.
At the same time, he said that the Russian invaders completely destroyed the entire energy system in Kherson.
"As for the Kherson networks, we have some of the accumulated equipment that we can give to Khersonoblenergo, and it will be enough for the first restoration," Sakharuk said.
According to his forecasts, the restoration of power supply may take about a month.
"We need to look at the nature of the destruction. But we restored the power supply of Kyiv region within 30 days after the de-occupation. Therefore, more or less such terms can be discussed in the liberated territories of Kherson region and the city of Kherson," the CEO of DTEK said.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that the restoration of energy supply in the liberated territories should become a priority for everyone, and it is necessary to consolidate all efforts for this.
"These are blackouts according to the schedule, but now we need to look at those regions where there is no electricity at all. This is today liberated Kherson, where the ruschists destroyed the entire power system. There are not like schedules, there is no electricity at all," Sakharuk said, describing the situation.
In addition, he explained that repair work is currently underway on the energy infrastructure, which came under shelling since October 10, as well as on the night of November 11. According to him, some objects were damaged from two to four times.
