Demand for new buses in Ukraine in March up by 7% vs to Feb 2023

KYIV. April 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Primary registrations of new buses (including minibuses) in Ukraine in March increased by 6.8%, or six units compared to February of this year, to 94 units (only two buses were registered in March 2022), according to the statistics of the association Ukrautoprom.

According to the data published on the company’s website, Ataman buses produced by JSC Cherkasy Bus Plant returned the leadership in this segment with the registration of 37 units versus 22 in February. The second place belongs to Citroen, the sales of which increased to 23 units (2.6 times), and Ford buses with 21 cars rose to the third position versus three in February 2023 (and two in March 2022).

The leader of January and February of this year – Ukrainian buses Etalon produced by the eponymous corporation moved to the fourth line with the registration of 7 units versus 64 and 44 buses in previous months respectively.

In addition, two Chinese Jac buses, one Bogdan bus each, Turkish Otocar and Temsa buses, as well as a PAZ bus were registered in Ukraine in March.

Thus, in January-March of this year, the total initial registration of new buses in Ukraine amounted to 421 units, which is 2.2 times more than in the first quarter of last year.
