KYIV. Jan 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal says that the delegation of the European Commission headed by head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will arrive in Ukraine on February 2.
"We are now preparing for a meeting with the delegation of the European Commission headed by Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen, who will arrive in Kyiv on February 2. Important intergovernmental consultations will take place. We will ‘sync watches’ on Ukraine’s implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission, assess the degree of progress and understand the prospects for our joint work," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister noted that at the meeting the parties will discuss the movement towards "industrial visa-free travel", joining the EU Single Roaming Space, integration into the single euro payment space.
"And we will also agree on the extension of duty-free import of our goods to Europe. We will discuss all the pressing issues: cooperation in the military sphere, support for energy, finance, humanitarian areas of cooperation and other important issues," Shmyhal said.
