Bodnar denies info about alleged supply of cluster munitions from Turkey to Ukraine – Anadolu
KYIV. Jan 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar denied information about the alleged supply of cluster munitions from Turkey to Ukraine.
"Such statements are being prepared specifically with the aim of damaging Ukrainian-Turkish relations, as well as forming a negative international image of Ukraine and Turkey," the Ukrainian diplomat told Anadolu.
Commenting on the statement of the Foreign Policy publication about the alleged supply of cluster munitions from Turkey to Ukraine, Bodnar stressed that international law prohibits the use of such ammunition, and Ukraine adheres to international norms.
The Ambassador suggested that such disinformation could be "part of Russian propaganda."
"I completely reject these statements, which have nothing to do with reality. This piece of news was created as a ‘psychological weapon’ in order to damage the image of Turkey," Bodnar is sure.
