Battle for Soledar continues, Ukrainian forces hold the line – AFU Eastern Group
KYIV. Jan 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Fierce fighting for the town of Soledar in Bakhmut district, Donetsk region, continues, the Ukrainian defense forces do not give up holding the line, Spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Serhiy Cherevaty has said.
"The enemy is purposefully creating an information storm with the aim of sowing disappointment with the Armed Forces among the Ukrainian population," he said on the air of the national telethon on Friday.
The enemy has been making numerous fake statements during the war, Cherevaty said and called on the Ukrainian people to believe in the AFU.
He also said that the Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line even regardless extremely difficult weather conditions and the enemy’s heavy shelling attacks.
