KYIV. Jan 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Oleksiy Arestovych has been relieved of his position as a non-staff adviser to the President’s Office of Ukraine.
Information about this was confirmed to the Interfax-Ukraine agency in the press service of the President’s Office on Tuesday.
As reported, on Monday, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksiy Honcharenko announced the start of collecting signatures demanding the dismissal of adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovych. He also appealed to the SBU for verification of the commission of high treason by Arestovych.
On January 14, after a Russian missile hit the entrance of a residential building in Dnipro, killing more than 40 people, the adviser to the President’s Office on the YouTube channel Feihin Live said that the rocket fell on a residential building for the reason that it was allegedly shot down by a Ukrainian air defense system.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine denied this, saying that Ukraine does not have the means to shoot down an X-22 missile, which hit a residential building.
