Kyiv region hands over brigade vehicles, drones and medicines to Black Cossacks
KYIV. April 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Representatives of Kyiv region delivered to the positions of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade Black Cossacks in Donetsk region a cargo of aid from fellow countrymen, in particular, a minibus, two pickups, two jeeps and an ambulance, Kyiv Regional Military Administration reports.
“Representatives of Kyiv region visited the fighters of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade Black Cossacks, who are currently placed in positions in Donetsk region, and delivered them a cargo of aid. A minibus, two pickups, two jeeps, an ambulance, medicines and more than 30 Mavik drones were handed over to our defenders who are defending the country in one of the hottest areas,” Kyiv Military Administration said on its official website on Saturday.
Acting head of Kyiv Regional State Administration Dmytro Nazarenko, Deputy Chairman of Kyiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Vlasiuk, First Deputy Chairman of Kyiv Regional Council Yaroslav Dobriansky and Mayor of Brovary Ihor Sapozhko are among the participants of the delegation.
The 72nd Brigade was created in 2002, since 2014 it has been participating in the war in eastern Ukraine as part of the ATO/JFO forces. In 2022, at the beginning of the Russian invasion, the Black Cossacks defended the capital and Kyiv region. Soldiers of the 72nd brigade took part in heavy battles for Irpin, Moschun, Hostomel, Bucha. Since the summer of 2022, they have been holding the eastern front in Donetsk region.
