There can be no talk of any negotiations over heads of Ukrainians – Duda
KYIV. April 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The only condition for peace in Ukraine can only be the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine to its internationally recognized borders, Polish President Andrzej Duda said speaking at the Royal Castle in Warsaw on Wednesday.
He warned about the impossibility of concluding a “unfavourable” peace for Ukraine, which, in his words, “will consist in the fact that Russia will continue to occupy Ukrainian lands.”
“Only Ukraine should determine the conditions. The only requirement is the complete withdrawal of troops from the territory of Ukraine. There can be no talk of any negotiations and decisions over the heads of Ukrainians,” he said. According to Duda, “if someone starts such conversations, I ask: ‘Have you been in Borodianka? Bucha? Irpin? Then go and see.”
“Ukraine will decide, and we will stand guard over this,” the Polish president said. “We are sending a message to the Kremlin – you will not be able to quarrel and divide us. Never again.”
