Those involved in assassination attempt on Shefir to be held accountable according to law – Yermak
KYIV. Sept 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said those involved in the assassination attempt on the life of first assistant to the head of state Serhiy Shefir will be held accountable for what they have done according to the law.
"The assassination attempt on Serhiy Shefir is a challenge to our president, and therefore to all of us. We accept this challenge, and we will solve any problems only together. Whoever you are, you will answer. Your methods do not work with us. Further justice and law will operate," Yermak said on his Facebook page.
Yermak also called on the police and other law enforcement agencies to take all necessary measures to arrest the attacker. "The offender must be brought to justice. He must not escape punishment together with accomplices and customers," the head of the President’s Office said.
