Zhovkva, Herasymchuk discuss with reps of foreign embassies rescue of Ukrainian children deported by Russia
KYIV. March 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Deputy Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva and Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights and Child Rehabilitation Daria Herasymchuk met with representatives of foreign embassies to discuss the problem of Ukrainian children deported and forcibly relocated to Russia, the website of the head of the Ukrainian state reported on Tuesday.
“The meeting participants exchanged views on possible joint actions aimed at rescuing children abducted by the occupiers. Separately, the interlocutors focused on the need to inform the world community that every child in the world is in danger, because the Russian Federation does not intend to limit its aggression to the territory of Ukraine. The importance of a fair punishment of all criminals, whose efforts had broken the fate of Ukrainian children abducted by the Russian aggressor, was noted,” the message reads.
Zhovkva during the meeting noted that at present neither the International Committee of the Red Cross, nor any other influential international organization or institution had met the expectations of saving Ukrainian children.
