Budget of European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian Films is EUR 1 mln for 2023 – State Film Agency
KYIV. Feb 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The budget of the European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian Films (ESFUF) is EUR 1.051 million for 2023, the State Film Agency reports.
“The European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian Films (ESFUF) is funded by contributions from 16 partners from 13 countries and the European Film Agency Directors association (EFAD). The Fund will support the development or work at the final stage of Ukrainian feature films co-produced with participating countries… The Fund is initiated the ministries of culture of Germany, Luxembourg and France,” the press service of the State Film Agency said.
It is noted that ESFUF will support the cinematographic works of Ukrainian directors at the development stage or at the final stage.
“Eligible projects are feature-length cinematographic works intended for first screening in cinemas in the feature, documentary or animation genres,” the report says.
The agency says the beneficiaries are production companies based in ESFUF partner countries that have a co-production agreement with a Ukrainian production company.
According to the announcement, the budget for 2023 is EUR 1.051 million, and the amount of development support will be limited to EUR 25,000 for documentaries and EUR 50,000 for feature films or animation, and support for films in the final stage will be limited to EUR 75,000.
