KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Serhiy Kozyr may become a candidate for member of parliament from the Servant of the People party in the 184th electoral district (Kherson region), said Yulia Paliychuk, spokesperson of the eponymous faction in the Verkhovna Rada.
"At 18:00 on Monday, September 20, a meeting of the political council of the Servant of the People party will take place in Kyiv. During the meeting, we plan to consider the issue of nominating head of Kherson Regional State Administration Serhiy Kozyr as a candidate in the 184th single-mandate constituency from the Servant of the People in the midterm elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," Paliychuk told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.
She also said that after the end of the meeting of the political council, approximately at 19:00, a meeting of the Servant of the People faction will begin.
Elections in districts No. 184 (Kherson region) and 197 (Cherkasy region) are held in connection with the early termination of the powers of MPs Ihor Kolykhayev and Oleksandr Skichko.
