Reboot of Tax Service's contact center with digitalization scheduled until May 1 – Hetmantsev

KYIV. Jan 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The reform of digitalization and transition of the State Tax Service to electronic mode provides for a reboot of the service’s contact center until May 1, 2023, head of the Verkhovna Rada profile committee Danylo Hetmantsev said in a Telegram following a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

He said it is planned to broadcast the amount of taxpayers’ debts on demand in a smartphone, conversation analytics, the history of the payer’s appeals, and an electronic queue for visiting the Payer Service Center through the contact center of the State Tax Service.

"We agreed to create working groups on certain areas of reform and involve representatives of the Association in them," Hetmantsev said.

According to him, this reform is expected to constantly identify weaknesses in the operation of the contact center, reduce the waiting time and receive a response for the maximum number of payers and tax awareness of payers and promote a high level of self-payment of taxes.

Earlier, the committee’s head said in addition to updates in the work of the contact center, the reform provides for e-excise, the movement of goods under a special QR code from the manufacturer to the supplier, the update of the risk assessment monitoring system taking into account the concentration on risk operations and VAT refunds within a week from the date of application.

Among other goals of the digitalization of the State Tax Service, Hetmantsev said, is the pre-filling of the tax return for payers of individuals, including entepreneur, "smart-entepreneur" or the full administration of entepreneur’s taxes by the bank at the request of the entrepreneur.
