IAEA head leads mission to Ukraine to deploy experts at all nuclear power plants
KYIV. Jan 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Monday begins a mission to deploy the agency’s presence at all nuclear plants in Ukraine to help prevent a nuclear accident during the ongoing war.
"IAEA is expanding its presence in Ukraine to help prevent a nuclear accident during the ongoing conflict. I’m proud to lead this mission to Ukraine, where we’re deploying in all of the country’s NPPs to provide assistance in nuclear safety & security," he said on Twitter, posting a photo of the IAEA delegation.
