Exports of ferroalloys by Ukraine surges by 2.3% in Jan-Aug
KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine in January-August of this year increased exports of ferroalloys in quantity terms by 2.3% compared to the same period last year, to 454,970 tonnes.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service, in monetary terms, exports of ferroalloys grew by 32.1%, to $631.526 million.
The product was mainly exported to Turkey (17.01% of supplies in monetary terms), Italy (15.55%) and Poland (11.56%).
In addition, in January-August 2021, Ukraine imported 37,029 tonnes of this product, which is 58.89% more compared to January-August 2020. In monetary terms, imports rose by 63.6%, to $105.38 million.
The product was mainly imported from Brazil (17.56%), Kazakhstan (16.07%) and Norway (12%).
