Social Insurance Fund assigns UAH 24.2 mln in payments to war-affected citizens since beginning of full-scale invasion

KYIV. Dec 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine has assigned UAH 24.2 million in insurance payments to citizens affected by hostilities and families of those killed.

According to information on the website of the fund, the payments included lump sums for families and dependents of those who were killed as a result of hostilities, lump sums for injured workers, temporary disability benefits and monthly insurance payments that will be paid to victims until their full recovery or for life.

"Injury or death as a result of hostilities while on duty is an insured event – the Social Insurance Fund guarantees payments and medical and social services for all Ukrainian workers who have been injured at work due to Russian aggression," the fund said.
