Turkey to help restore building of Philology Institute of Taras Shevchenko University damaged due to shelling
KYIV. Nov 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Republic of Turkey will join the restoration of the building of the Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which was damaged as a result of a rocket attack on the center of Kyiv on October 10, 2022.
"This is stated in the Agreement within the framework of the international technical assistance project ‘Contribution to the education infrastructure of Ukraine,’ which was signed between Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency for (TIKA)," the press service of the university said.
In particular, in the near future, the classrooms and the Department of Turkology, which were affected by the missile strike, will be repaired.
According to the report, cooperation with the (TIKA) was the first such assistance in restoring damaged University buildings at the interstate level.
