Russian troops fire about 100 missiles, shells at Nikopol region – Kyrylo Tymoshenko
KYIV. Oct 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Friday, Russian troops fired about 100 shells and missiles at Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region, Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
"About 100 ‘arrivals’ to cities and villages were recorded. In Nikopol, a high-rise building, 13 private houses and a transport company, outbuildings, a gas pipeline and power lines were damaged. Luckily no people were hurt," he said.
Also today, according to him, Shevchenkivsky district of Zaporizhia was under fire. "Russian missiles also flew to the town of Huliaipole, Zaporizhia region. Three S-300 missiles were fired at one of the factories," Tymoshenko said.
He stressed that since the beginning of the war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have de-occupied more than 2,400 square kilometers of Ukrainian land in the south. "Six settlements have been de-occupied in Kherson region, 61 in Beryslav region. Stabilization measures have been taken in this region in 19 settlements," Tymoshenko said.
According to him, transformers are being restored in the villages of Vorontsovka and Vysokopillia. "In Zolota Balka and Havrylivka, work is underway to restore mobile communications. In Arkhanhelske, Vysokopillia and Osokorivka, some of the critical infrastructure facilities cannot be restored," he said.
