Kyiv sends 30 buses to Dnipro, ten of them with humanitarian aid for Dnipro residents – Klitschko
KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyiv is sending 30 buses to Dnipro as assistance, which will run along public transport routes, while ten of them will be loaded with humanitarian aid for Dnipro residents, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
"The bloody full-scale war has been going on for almost 7.5 months. The barbarians continue to commit crimes – kill people, shoot houses, destroy infrastructure. On the night of September 30, civilians died as a result of shelling in Dnipro. Private houses and several high-rise buildings were damaged. More than 100 units of public transport, city buses, were also destroyed or damaged," Klitschko said.
According to him, Ukrainian cities "must help each other today, must stand together and defeat the Russian barbarians."
"At this difficult time, we must especially support the cities that are almost on the front line. Therefore, Kyiv is sending 30 MAZ passenger buses to Dnipro residents," Klitschko said.
At the same time, according to him, the transfer of buses to Dnipro will not complicate the movement of Kyiv residents by public transport. He also said that next week Kyiv expects additional assistance from Western partners – another 10 buses will arrive in the capital.
"So that the buses do not go empty, we load ten buses with humanitarian aid for Dnipro people – food, medical supplies, diapers for children, clothing, sanitary and hygiene products," Klitschko summed up.
